How the Tweede Kamer's open data is organised

The Tweede Kamer, or House of Representatives, is the lower house of the Dutch parliament and has 150 seats, filled by party-list proportional representation. Its data warehouse, the Gegevensmagazijn, is open through an OData v4 API. Queries are built as URLs, and the entities include people, parliamentary groups, committees, documents, cases, meetings, agenda items, votes and decisions. Attribute names and values are in Dutch, and so is most of the text.

A parliamentary file moves through many steps: a bill or motion is tabled, debated, amended and voted on, and a bill adopted by the House goes on to the Senate. Each step produces records, so a single case can show up through several linked entries over weeks or months. What scrolls past is a working snapshot of that process instead of a list of final laws.

The service has quirks that matter to a reader. Records with the Verwijderd (deleted) flag remain in the store as placeholders so changes can be traced, and the documentation recommends filtering them out. A bare query can also return rows where every field is empty, so both are filtered before display. An item appearing here does not mean it passed.
