About the Internet Archive's collections
The Internet Archive is a non-profit library based in San Francisco, founded by Brewster Kahle in 1996. It is best known for the Wayback Machine, through which archived web content became publicly accessible in 2001, but its collections also include digitised books, software, music, audiovisual material and print material. Projects such as Open Library, Archive-It, NASA Images and the Prelinger Archives sit alongside the web archive, and its stated mission is universal access to all knowledge.
This saver reads the Archive's search service for items newly added to its public collections. The stream is largely unfiltered, so a run can include very different kinds of material side by side, each shown with its title and media type. Seeing the variety is the point, since it reflects what people choose to preserve rather than a curated selection.
An upload appears here when it is added, not when the original item was created, so an old recording and a file from yesterday can scroll past together. Because the collections are broad and open, titles and descriptions may be inaccurate, and an item being in the archive says nothing about the legal status of a work.

Frequently asked questions
- Is this real data?
- Yes — it comes from the Internet Archive and is refreshed on a schedule.
- Is a key needed?
- No. This source is fully key-less.
- Is it free?
- Yes — free, no download, in your browser.
- Does the saver show the actual content?
- It shows listings with titles and media types, and the items themselves live on the Internet Archive's site.
- Why are the dates not recent?
- Upload date and creation date differ, so older works are added all the time.
- Is this a curated selection?
- No. The feed shows what is being added to public collections, so its range is broad and uneven.
