medRxiv Preprints Screensaver
The medRxiv Preprints screensaver shows the newest clinical and public-health preprints from medRxiv, key-less. It's free, runs in your browser, and ESC exits.
How the medRxiv Preprints screensaver works
The saver reads the source described above and draws it on a canvas — no account, no tracking.
The newest clinical and public-health preprints from medRxiv, key-less. Sister server to bioRxiv, which the site already covers, but a different corpus: medRxiv takes human-subject and health-systems research, so the subject mix is oncology and epidemiology.
It refreshes on a schedule, so what you see stays current.
Colours and any options can be changed in settings; nothing is stored beyond your own browser.
What medRxiv does and does not vet
medRxiv is a preprint server for the health sciences, founded by Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, Yale University and BMJ and launched in 2019. Researchers post manuscripts there before they have been certified by peer review, so findings become visible earlier than in a journal.
The papers are screened, not peer reviewed. According to medRxiv’s own description, every article undergoes a basic screening process that looks for offensive or non-scientific content, material that could pose a health risk, dual-use research concerns and plagiarism. Posted articles are not edited or typeset first, and posting does not imply endorsement by the organisations behind the server.
The site warns that preprints are preliminary reports that have not been certified by peer review and should not be relied on to guide clinical practice or health-related behaviour, nor reported in news media as established information. Titles and dates in the list reflect when a version was posted, not when the work was done or accepted anywhere.
